Connecting with the Coast with Printmaking, Drawing & Mark Making – Atelier Beside the Sea
This workshop is perfect for any ability as it is all about working on your own approach to creating stunning artworks inspired by the beautiful south coast and all that it brings. Exploring a wealth of techniques in just three hours, you will take rubbing from boats and rope, rusty machinery, wood and walls to create different collage papers. Expertly guided by Suzi Lowe, you will experience her energy and passion for all things creative.
Using natural materials found along the coast, you will be able to experience relief printmaking using flowers, leaves and seaweed in combination with developing your own colour palette to pigment using sand, earth, river mud and moss.
Also exploring photography and sketching you will be able to explore what fascinates you as an individual about our incredible environment, combining all of your work into numerous small pieces or a single large work of exciting, abstracted artwork.
Materials are provided but feel free to bring any found materials you may want to use on the day.
