VENUE: Hand in Hand Pub
One of Brighton’s oldest drinking haunts, the Hand in Hand has been welcoming smugglers and sailors alike for many years. Hosting some fine sea shanty performances over the festival weekend as well as a few fly-by visits from local celebrities including The Living Coast’s very own golden mermaid!
SATURDAY – Free Brewery Tours will run at 1pm and 3pm at the pub. Please email Jen@handbrewpub.com if you’re interested in booking on one of the tours. Live music will start from 7pm with the Hand me Downs (traditional folk), followed by the Duck Pond Sailors (shanties and songs of the sea). The Sussex Siren will also be performing at 10pm.
SUNDAY – The Lurxx will be playing at 2:30pm followed by some other special guests.
We have also collaborated with venues across the city to make a commemorative sea salt pale ale to mark the occasion from Brighton’s oldest brewery right here at the Hand in Hand.
